Architecture and literature represents two fundamentally distinct form of representation. Given the absence of the image, literature on one hand, extends an unlimited range of possibilities to the surreal and fantastical world. Time and space can be manipulated, laws of nature can be tweaked. Architecture on the other hand, embodies a certain precision and intricacy. The physical manifestation of space, also adds a layer of objectivity and definition to the naked eye. Arguably, these two discipline represents two extreme polarities. The project positions itself in the middle ground where these two polarities ambiguously meet and attempts to deliver a collapsed representational model that forms new interpretational dimension- The project simultaneously presents itself in two parts: the written play as the engine for the project, and the architectural model as a loose framework for viewers to liberate their imagination.
This project not only attempts to provide an alternative insight to design, at the same time it manifests a juncture between multiple realities and aims to explore new relationships between literature and architecture.
