诺华上海园区的总体规划注重为科研人员设计一个高效方便的工作社区，同时也希望有“家”的感觉；它能满足使用者日常活动——从餐饮到锻炼，同时又创造出温馨的氛围。通过组织庭院和花园形成一系列公共空间和流通网络。每一栋独立的建筑都有其专属的庭院，提高环境质量，与其他建筑之间既分又连。园区的空间组织让使用者在不同庭院间活动，在园区中引发更多的发现和互动。我们用“庭院都市化”来概括我们的城市设计手法。

The master plan is designed to be a community as well as a‘home’ for the scientists; it envisions programs that fulfill users’ daily activities, from dinning to exercise, while creating a homelike atmosphere. An organization of courtyards and gardens forms public spaces and circulation network. The design takes advantage of this unique spatial quality to provide each individual building its own courtyard meanwhile bridge across workplaces and different programs. The comprehensive spatial organization of the campus invites users to travel through various courtyards, triggering a unique experience of discovery and interaction. We use the term “Courtyard Urbanism” to sum up our urban design approach.
FCJZ also designed Laboratory Building in the campus.
